At Townsend Timber our talented joiners and craftsmen manufacture windows and doors using traditional techniques alongside the many other varied timber products. These are matched up with the latest specification security hinge and lock sets or classic old time furniture.

New for 2017 is our made to measure hardwood sash windows, made using Red Grandis engineered timber, which is a versatile, high performing and FSC® 100% certified uniform hardwood , together with the revolutionary new window system ‘Ecotilt’ from Mighton UK, that not only has achieved a B energy rating but has also gained a Secure By Design certificate. As well as having hidden insulation and PVCu parts, Ecotilt also hides its strong metal Safety Stays which allow the sashes to tilt to a safe angle, and also comes as standard with Ultrashoe™, the mechanism that makes the Mighton Assisted Lift Balances simple to adjust. This is completely invisible until the sashes are tilted.

We can accommodate made to measure as we do not mass-produce; choosing to take our time on each order to ensure we provide the best quality.  This dovetails well with our surveyors, designers and carpenter-build teams so that they can request exactly what’s needed for every project we build.  We can offer a supply and fit service for replacement joinery, even if we are not involved in your construction works.

We purchase all glazing ‘direct from factory’ so are able to supply you all components with your joinery including A-rated double glazing units and ancillary security glazing tapes.

We have recently installed a new spray-bay as part of our production facility; this coating process uses an environmentally friendly water-based system from Teknos, one of the UK’s top manufacturer. This allows us to offer a vast array of colours for your joinery as well as classic combinations, and we are happy to offer Osmo oiled finish to our solid Oak joinery which protects while allowing a silvered aged look in a short period of time.

Our experienced team are available to discuss your requirements here or at your property with free surveys available.
