Townsend has made big improvements through research and the 2017 Buckland Timber garages are now better than ever.  Heavy duty double or single timber framed garages, made from planed treated softwoods using sturdy framing and diagonal braced corners to provide the strength of the building.  Finally the frame is then clad in extra thick TGV with a PVC membrane.  The design uses black Onduline corrugated sheets as its roof covering over timber perlins and A-frame support.

GARAGES BASIC SPECIFICATION

Basic specification for the Buckland includes

  • double framed, ledged and braced doors to the front in the traditional 7′ width with a side located single pedestrian door.  All doors have rimlocks operated by both key (from the outside) and throw-bolt (from the inside).
  • two single float glass windows with a top opening fanlight allow natural lighting and ventilation within the building.

Townsend offers the Sectional Buckland range priced including full assembly to a suitable base.

Stick Framed or softwood framed garages are designed with bespoke qualities in mind more akin to the oak framed garages than the sectional ones above.  These buildings are strong enough to house storage or loft space above.
